About image
NGC 7008, called also Fetus Nebula due to its shape, is a planetary nebula visible inside Cygnus constellation.
Its distance is estimated 2800 light years and its apparent diameter is 1,4x1,1’, corresponding to a real diameter of 0.57 light years.
The nebula is very inhomogeneous and consists mainly of two spheroids of moderate ellipticity: the condensation processes are expanding at the same speed as the surrounding gas and occur in brilliant nodes of the structure.
