Messier 5 is one of the most remarkable globular cluster in the sky, with its magnitude 5.6 and apparent diameter 23’.
Visible in the Serpens Caput constellation, it is located at a distance of 24500 light years and contains more than 100000 stars.
It is believed to be one of the oldest globular cluster in our galaxy, with an estimated age of 13 billion light years.
