M53 is a globular cluster in the Coma Berenices: its apparent diameter is 12.6' and its magnitude is 7.6.
It is one of the farthest globular clusters from us, being about 58,000 light years from the Solar System and 60,000 light years from the galactic center: its linear extent is 150 light years
